Where can Botox be used?
Neurotoxins can be used to improve facial wrinkles on the forehead (frown lines), between the eyes (eleven’s), and around the eyes (crow’s feet).
Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neurotoxins, such as Botox and XEOMIN®, are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions, so frown lines are softened. Simply said, neurotoxins “Freezes” muscles to reduce wrinkles.

Juvéderm Ultra XC is a type of dermal filler. Approved by the FDA Trusted Source in 2010, it’s primarily used to treat facial wrinkles and folds. Each injection contains a gel-like material made of water, hyaluronic acid (HA), and lidocaine, a local anesthetic. HA is designed to plump up your skin by increasing volume from underneath.
This treatment is intended for adults.
Procedure for Juvéderm Ultra XC
Little prep and aftercare are required for each injection. The total time spent depends on how many injections you’re getting. The procedure may take up to one hour. Since Juvéderm contains lidocaine, your treatment provider won’t need to apply a topical anesthetic to your skin before the injections. They might cleanse your skin first, and then inject the product into the target areas. You shouldn’t feel any pain at all. Instead, you might feel slight pressure and tingling as the product is injected.
Once the injections are completed, you can leave.
Juvederm Voluma – Plump It
Science says: skin loses firmness, volume, and moisture as time and the elements take their toll. But science also says: we can change that
If you have sunken cheeks, it’s probably due to low levels of hyaluronic acid (a substance that naturally exists between the cells of your body and gives your skin a firm, youthful appearance). As this substance decreases, wrinkles and fine lines form. But, with an injection of Voluma® into your cheeks, the lost volume is restored in minutes, leaving your face firmer, plumper, and more youthful. Results that define your features, not your age.
So why do I have Sunken Cheeks?
If the skin on your face appears to be thin and sunken, low levels of hyaluronic acid could be to blame. Your body is comprised of a number of cells, and this substance naturally exists in between them, giving your skin a firm, youthful appearance. As you age, the substance gradually decreases, slowly depleting your face of moisture and volume. Combined with other factors, this can cause an increase in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
How Voluma XC works:
Juvéderm Voluma® XC can be injected into the cheeks to restore their natural suppleness. A fine needle targets the areas to boost their volume and beautifully contour the face. In a matter of minutes, your skin is restored to a firm, plump state. Your face will be more defined and instantly appear more youthful. There’s zero downtime, and you can immediately continue on with your day.
Treatment is not painful.

Who should get this treatment?
Anyone that is looking to obtain fuller cheeks.
Some risks include redness, tenderness and swelling at the injection site. Also, as with all injections, there’s a chance of infection. Potential side effects can be covered during your free consultation. Please feel free to ask your consultant any questions you may have about being treated with Voluma®.
Juvéderm® Voluma® XC is different from other gel-like injectables. First, it’s used specifically in the cheek area to make them appear more plump and youthful. Juvéderm® Ultra XC and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC are similar injectable fillers that focus more on deeper lines and are used to target laugh lines and thin lips. Voluma® is not a wrinkle relaxer like Botox®. Juvéderm® Voluma® XC is the only hyaluronic acid filler that is FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the cheek area. It can also last up to two years with optimal treatment. If you’re looking to plump cheeks that have sunken over time, this injectable is a quick, convenient approach to skin care.
